The Waves of Climate Change

The virtual tour on the “The Waves of Climate Change” Trail, located in the Marino Ballena National Park (PNMB), will bring you closer to a learning experience in nature, observing the changes and the role that ecosystems play in the face of change climate in coastal areas.

During this tour, the visitor will have the opportunity to learn about what climate change is, what causes it and its effects on the beaches, in the marine environments, in the mangroves.

You can virtually experience the natural settings that this trail encompasses, as well as the approach to issues such as the manifestations of climate change, the protective role played by some species and ecosystems, such as palms and mangroves.

The tour begins in the Estero Negro, advances on the path, which enters a coastal forest, part of which was a settlement site in the past for part of the population of Bahia, continuing towards a beautiful coastal lagoon.

During the virtual tour you will be able to see part of the exuberant, and almost mysterious, mangrove ecosystem that runs alongside the trail. A forest of natural regeneration is part of this virtual journey, to culminate with fabulous views of the tombolo, the geological formation shaped like a whale's tail, which provides a visual experience that brings us closer to a mystical and wonderful scenery.
